Outdoor Bowls
Our two TigerTurf all-weather carpet greens are playable all year round. With a packed season program running from October to April, or various winter galas during the colder months, we have plenty of opportunities for the seasoned bowler or the player wanting to learn the great game of bowls. Come down and see how addictive lawn bowls can be.
Social & Friendly
Looking for a family friendly club where you can have a relaxing time while the kids mix and mingle with others? Our club caters for the kids as well as the parents. During the day you can watch the bowlers in action then head inside to catch the days major sporting events on one of our two large TV screens. If pool or darts are your thing we have a games room to cater.

Established in 1912, Lyall Bay Bowling Club is one of the founding bowling clubs in the Eastern Suburbs of Wellington.
A growing, competitive club with a good mix of men and women, we enjoy the competition on the green as well as enjoying the company of fellow members off the green. We have an active social side to the club with pool tables, dart boards, indoor bowls and plenty of TV's to watch regular sporting events.
We were the 1st club in the Wellington area to replace our natural grass greens with Tiger Turf 'Greenweave' carpet, this gives us an all-weather surface that is proving a hit amongst our members and fellow bowlers. With carpet this gives our players a soft surface to play on, without the lumps and bumps of a conventional green when you play a good shot, it is a good shot. (we still have a bit of wind though being in Wellington).
